How does this happen? What
How does this happen? What causes cars to catch fire?
alot of things
poor maintenance , faulty components and beating on the motor , no oil etc.. most liquids in cars are flammable too .. not too hard when you have multiple issues going on
a partial list...
1. Fuel leak, fuel gets sprayed on a hot exhaust manifold, boom
2. Oil leak, much less likely but can still happen
3. Overheated brakes, which can happen any of several ways: driving in mountainous terrain, driving with your left foot on the brake, driving with the handbrake on, stuck disc-brake caliper
4. Electrical fire
5. Smoking materials dropped on carpet
