The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to let El Jefe's Taqueria, which currently stays open until 3 a.m. near Northeastern, BU and in Harvard Square, open a new outlet with the same closing time in Kenmore Square. Read more.
Boston Restaurant Talk reports that El Pelon Taqueria has closed its Peterborough Street location, although its Brighton outlet and catering service remain open.

El Mundo Boston reports that El Oriental de Cuba on Centre Street has closed for good. Owner and founder Nobel Garcia died in 2021 and after two years of trying to keep it going, his daughters decided it was time to say goodbye. It will be replaced by a Mexican restaurant.
