Holy smokes - thanks, Uhub!

I was also on a plane at Logan tonight at 7:30 pm, having just landed. We sat on the tarmac for about 20 minutes before finally wheeling over to a gate. Wondering why it took us so long…the captain was mum except for saying something anodyne about the difficulty in getting a gate.

Sadly, 20 minutes to get to a gate at Logan isn’t all that unusual.

In the future, planes will have radios, computers will predict arrival times, and we’ll have a field called “operations research” to schedule and optimize the use of resources like gates, taxiways, etc.

Planes be like, like, like MBTA and stuff.

wye iz this keep happening at logan ?

Because that's where all the aircraft are.

There are more airplanes at the bottom of the ocean than there are submarines in the sky. Why is that?

damn; there are more fender benders at logan than on 93 these days.
