Let's see if ticket sales go down significantly. What does his contract say if that happens ? It's up to the almighty dollar.

Fenway Park is a big tourist attraction now, as evidenced by the hordes of other teams' fans the last two or three seasons. For every so-called serious fan who pays attention and can name the infield, there are four or five who are there for an afternoon or evening out. I grew up with baseball in the 70's, when it was a much bigger deal nationally, but nowadays my preferred sports are hockey and soccer. Fenway Sports Group has a lot on its plate, Liverpool contracts, an aging Penguins team, NASCAR, virtual golf, etc.

The uber/lyft one. I suspect it was a similar reason why question 5 lost. A lot of people were afraid that if workers get a living wage, they might have to pay a little more for their ride from the airport.

I saw him play in Pittsburgh last summer. Briefly. I think he managed to get one or two batters out before the manager took the ball from him.
